Social Media Club began in March, 2006 in San Fransisco, California. For more on the history of the international organization, click here.
Starting a local chapter of Social Media Club was an idea hatched by Paul Holmes and Catherine Novak. They organized the first Social Media Club meeting in Victoria on March 24, 2009. Catherine Novak was the first speaker, and approximately 25 people attended.
Since then, meetings have grown, the leadership team has expanded, guest speakers have come from farther afield, and attendance has grown!
