, , ,

Our next regularly scheduled Social Media Club meeting is on December 20th at 6:45pm (it’s now the third Monday of each month).

It’ll be held again at the Victoria Event Centre.

Instead of having a formal speaker, we’ll have our usual announcements, then open the floor to people to talk about how Social Media has changed their lives…

  • Professional Life
  • Personal Life
  • Relationships

This is for pros, cons, success stories, failure stories, challenges, etc.

If you plan to speak, please prepare for 5-10 minutes (there’ll be a computer operator who can load up a website for you on the big screen, but power point and such will be out).

Post a comment below to indicate that you would like to speak, so the M.C. knows who is speaking ahead of time.

There should be some time for mingling, Q&A and a fun, informal time.

New Leadership Team

The Team

The Team

In order to comply with the new local chapter structure for Social Media Club, we have re-jigged the Leadership Team.

While the new legal structure requires use of terms like President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer, this won’t change the fact that Social Media Club in Victoria is very much about shared leadership. This team approach has worked very well, and will continue to serve our community best.

We are especially pleased to welcome Sean, Teresa and Jaryd to the new team!

  • Paul Holmes - President/Promotions Director (@tpholmes)
  • Janis La Couvée - Vice-President/Membership Director (@lacouvee)
  • Cindy Stephenson - 2nd Vice-President/Programming Director (@cjstephenson)
  • Chris Burdge - Secretary/Sponsorship Director (@b_west)
  • Sean Dhillon - Treasurer (@i_lend_money)
  • Teresa Sims - Production/Volunteer Director (@teresasims)
  • Jaryd Zinkewich - SMCEDU/University Liaison (@jzinkewich)

A special thanks to past leadership team volunteers, Jodie Gastel and Catherine Novak for all their hard work in building our organization.
